Fund's Tree of Life Award at a
New York dinner Oct. 8. Former
United States Ambassador to Is-
rael Samuel Lewis is the fea-
tured speaker at the dinner.

Charlotte Jacobson, president
of the Jewish National Fund of
America, praised Robinson's
dedicated service on behalf of
many civic, charitable, and vol-
unteer organizations. She cited
Robinson's chairmanship of the
Wayne State University Fund,
his service as vice president of
the Jewish Welfare Federation
of Detroit, and his membership
on the boards of the United Way
of Pontiac, the United Founda-
tion of Detroit, and the Weiz-
mann Institute of Science,
among many other organiza-
tions. "JNF is proud to recognize
Mr. Robinson's enthusiastic in-
volvement in so many worth-
while causes," she said, "by pre-
senting him with our highest
award."
The Tree of Life Award is
given in recognition of
exemplary professional leader-
ship and humanitarian service.
The award symbolizes the re-
newal of Israel's land through
the work of JNF.
