Lecture Slated
For Senior Adults

The senior adult department

at the Jimmy Prentis Morris
Branch of the Jewish Commu-
nity Center will have a program
in its Friday lecture series at 1
p.m. Sept. 20 in the assembly
hall of the JPM Branch.
Andrew W. Shaw of Oakland

Community College will do
handwriting analyses.
All senior adults are invited
free of charge.
The department will continue
its library series and add three
new classes.
Poetry writing will begin at
10:30 a.m. Sept. 19 in the JPM
library. Sadie Goren will teach

Henry Faigin, chairman of
Branch Seven, Labor Zionist Al-
liance, announces that the
group's next meeting will be on
Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the

president of the Jewish Com-
munity Council of Metropolitan

Detroiters Elected
To District 6

Detroit area men were once
again elected to leadership posi-
tions in the eight-state District
6 of B'nai B'rith.
David Bittker was re-elected
to a second term and Ralph Mil-
ler to a first term to the B'nai
B'rith International Board of
Governors.
Alex Ornstein was elected dis-
trict treasurer. Ernest Shaw was
elected to the District's Court of
Appeals.
Sherwood Berman of Lansing
was re-elected to the Adult Edu-
cation Commission.
Nathan Rubenstein was
picked for a second term on the
Hillel Commission; Sol Moss
was elected to the International
Council and Sol Leftcin, the Is-
rael Commission.
