Detroiters Attend CJF

James M. August will co-chair
a special workshop on "The
Jewish Poor and Near Poor" at
the Council of Jewish Federa-
tions' Fall quarterly meeting
this weekend in New York City.
August is chairman of the
Jewish Welfare Federation's
Conference of Division Chair-
men.
Dr. Allen S. Juris, associate
executive director of Federation,
will also attend a special CJF
workshop, for major Jewish
community planners.
Detroiters in attendance at
the CJF quarterly include CJF
Vice President Mandell II. Be-
rman; CJF Executive Cffkamit-
tee membe Joel D. Tauber, Dr.
Conrad Lr ilea and Robert H.
Naftaly; F past presidents
Martin E. 'Citrin and Max M.
Fisher; and CJF board member
Carolyn Greenberg. Dulcie
Rosenfeld,' national vice chair-
man of the CJF Women's Di-
vision, also will be present.
Other local leaders in
attendance are Stanley D.
Frankel, Hugh Greenberg,
Wayne L. Feinstein, Dennis
Keyes and Shelly Tauber.
Prior to the CJF meetings,
there will be a joint meeting of
the CJF Jewish Education
Committee and the Jewish Edu-
cation Service of North America,
