Cantor Abraham Veroba

Cantor Abraham Veroba will
again serve as guest cantor for
High Holy Day Services at
Cong. B'nai David. -
Cantor Veroba studied - chaz-
zanut under the direction of the
world famous Cantor , Joseph
Rosenblatt. He also attended
Mesivta Torah Vodaath and
studied voice at Columbia Uni-
versity in New York.
After serving, pulpits in
Spring Valley, the Bronx, and
Long Island, N.Y., Cantor Ver-
oba recently completed more
than 25 years of service with
the Westchester Jewish Center
in Mamaroneck, N.Y. He is pre-
sently the cantor of Grossing-
er's, the famous resort in Lib-
erty, N.Y. -
Cantor Veroba is a member of
the board of the Cantorial
Council of America, under the
auspices of Yeshiva University.

Cantor Engaged
For High Holidays

Cantor David A. Gutman,
cantor and concert singer who
has sung in many synagogues in
Michigan and other cities in
America and Canada, has been
re-engaged this year to conduct
the High Holidays services at
the Livonia Jewieh Congrega-
tion. He officiated there last
year for the High Holidays and
on other occasions.
In addition to cantorial and
English concerts, Cantor Gut-
man has performed for many
organizations in Michigan, for
the Civic Light Opera at the
Masonic Temple and also
entertained for the U.S. Army
while serving in World War II.
Caritor Gutman has performed
in many musicals and Musical
plays at the Jewish Community
Center and in the 1960s con-
ducted the Cantorial Hour for
the Jewish Center on a weekly
basis. • "
