The conference will open on Thursday with a luncheon addressed by Yehudah Halevy, president of State of Israel Bonds. The afternoon will in- clude a trip to the Holocaust Memorial Cen- ter in West Bloomfield, where a special tribute will be tendered to Sig- mund Strochlitz and Miles Lerman, co-chairman, Elie Wiesel International Dinner. Sister Carol Ritt- ner, adjunct associate pro- lessor of interdisciplinary studies at Mercy College of Detroit who is active in Holocaust education cir- cles, will be the guest speaker. The day will conclude with a cocktail party and barbecue for full-time delegates at the home of David and Doreen Herme- lin. On Sept. 6, Freda Keet, a journalist associated with Kol Israel, will ad- dress the Women's Di- vision workshops at 10:30 a.m. Alice Pearce, chairman of the Israel Bond Organ- ization board, will be the honoree at the luncheon that day. Guest speaker will be Israel Ambassador to the United States Meir Rosenne. There will be caucus meetings and a cocktail reception hosted by the New Leadership division of the Detroit Bonds af- filiate. Cantor Chaim Nikjman of Cong. Shaarey Zedek will lead Shabbat services and zemirot, and entertainment will be provided by Broadway star Mike Burstyn. , Cantor Najman will re- sume his position on the bimah for Shabbat morn- ing 'services Sept. 7, fol- lowed by a kiddush. The agenda includes a cocktail reception and an address by Israel's Minister of Fi- nance Yitzhak Moda'i.
