"Programming for the Third
Age," a series of classes for
senior adults, will begin Sept. 9
at the main Jewish Community
Center.
At 10 a.m. Mondays, Fitness
Level 1 will be held in room
239, starting Sept. 23. Fitness
Level 2 will meet at 11 a.m. in
the auxiliary gym.
The Walking Club will meet
at 10 a.m. Thursdays in the
front lobby of the main Center.
Water Exercise Level 1 will
meet at the pool at 10 a.m.
Thursdays. Water Exercise level
2 will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thurs-
days at the pool.

The senior adult department
of the Jewish Center will con-
tinue its Sinai Hospital lecture
series at 1 p.m. Sept. 10 in the
assembly hall of the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Branch.
Nursing instructor Kathleen
McGillis will speak on "Without
the Sweet Stuff — Living with
Diabetes." A diabetes screening
will be held on Sept. 12.
All senior adults are invited
free of charge. The program is
supported by a grant from Area
Agency on Aging, 1-B.
The Friday lecture series will
feature Betty Frankel, garden
and landscape writer and de-
signer, at 1 p.m. Sept. 13 in the
assembly hall of the JPM
Branch.
Ms. Frankel will speak on
'Bloomin' Bulbs — Inside and
Out." All senior adults are in-
vited free of charge.
Bernard Luchtan will serve as
cantor and Morris Tugman will
co-officiate at High Holiday
services for senior adults at 7:30
p.m. Sept. 15, 9 a.m. Sept. 16
and 17, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 24 and 9
a.m. Sept. 25 in the Jaffee Hall
of the JPM Branch.

Jewish Braille Institute of
America (JBI).
During the four-week period
of the "Read-In," relatives and
