Deanna Sperka will give museum & gallery tours on Wednesday and Thursdays at 10 a.m. Painting, drawing, collage and ceramics will be taught to be- ginners and advanced students with Ben Glicker, Gary Richmond and Susan Rosati. Gloria Kahn will give a lecture-slide presentation on "Women In Art" from the Re- naissance to the 19th Century. Wendy Levitt will teach a two-day workshop "Shopping in Your Closet" on Sept. 10 and 12. Acting will be taught to youth, teens and adults. Suzuki or traditional lessons in piano, guitar and violin also are avail- able. For listing of Center classes, call the Center, 661-1000, ext. 164. • 'Me And My Dad' Program Begins The 'Me and My Dad' program of the Jewish Community Cen- ter will begin at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at the main Jewish Center. The event will celebrate the Jewish New Year. Refreshments will be served, and the pool will be available. Two orientation sessions will be held in advance of the pro- gram. One session will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 8 at the main Jewish Center. The other will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Jimmy Prentis Morris Branch of the Center. Family Succot Celebration Set The Jewish Community Cen- ter will have a family Succot celebration at 1 p.m. Sept. 22 at the main Jewish Center. Children and their parents will be invited to make Succot decorations. Community shaliach Benny Schwarz will give a talk on the religious sig- nificance of the holiday, and everyone will be invited to deco- rate the Center succah. The Melodears from the Cen- ter's Jimmy Prentis Morris Branch will entertain, and re- freshments will be served. There is a fee, and non- members are invited. Registration deadline is Sept. 18. Toastmasters Club Holds Orientation A special orientation for the Jewish Center's Toastmasters Club will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 10 in room 239 of the main Jewish Center.
