ANNE PINKERTON

STYLES FOR THE YOUNG
AND THE YOUNG AT HEART

31025 Orchard Lake Rd. • Farmington Hills • 855-6164

54 Jewish News

Silhouettes this fall are clean, pared
down, body conscious, and more fe-
minine. Jackets are oversized and long
or shorter and more fitted. The new im-
portance of feminized shirts — collars,
cuffs, back flounces and tails, uneven
lengths, flirtatious back "bustle" cluster
pleats.
Skirts range from mini to long, slim-
mer and softer. Pants are straight and
slim, wide-legged and billowy; some
fuller at the top with pared-down calf
shaping.
In prints, Anne Pinkerton features
several different looks. English — all
over paisleys and florals in an antique
vein; spaced placement prints on an
heraldic theme, with playful marching
knights, crests, griffons, and medieval
scenes. French — the femme fatale
face, faux bijoux, frivolous French hats,
Paris street scenes.
Colors include softened jewel tones
with some shining surfaces in English ,
colors such as black, green, red;
bronze, gold, grey, amber, and brass
and French tones such as garnet,
aquamarine, emerald, citrine, antique
brass, ruby, turquoise, onyx, powder
pink and purple/royal purple.
