Council of Greater Detroit, an-
nounces that the Tree of Life
will be awarded to Dean E.
Richardson, chairman fo the
board and chief executive officer
of Manufacturer's National
Bank of Detroit, at a dinner
sponsored by JNF on Oct. 23 at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
Proceeds from the dinner will
be used to establish the Dean E.
Richardson Forest in Israel.
The Tree of Life award is the
highest tribute given by JNF
"in gratitude for outstanding
professional and civic leader-
ship." Other recipients of this
award include Gov. James J.
Blanchard, Bishop Francis J.
Mugavero, Donald Trump; It-
zhak Perlman, Ted Turner and
Mayor.Tom Bradley.
Co-chairmen of the
Richardson dinner are: Joseph
E. DeCaminada, Coopers and
Lybrand;. Gerald Greenwald,
vice chairman, Chrysler Corp;
and Richard D. Rohr, Badman,
Longley and Dahling.
A meeting to form a dinner
committee will be held on Sept.
9 at 5 p.m. For details, call the
