birthday, the American Friends
of Hebrew University and
Northern Michigan University
will honor longtime supporter
Sam Cohodas at a dinner Aug.
24 in Marquette at the Northern
Michigan University's field
house,
Gov, James Blanchard will
serve am the honorary chairman
with Ellwood Mattson as the
dinner chairman heading a
large committee of more than
300 people from around the
world,
Serving under Blanchard and
Mattson as the regional chair-
men are Harold Berry, Harvey
Grace and Erwin Ziegelman
chairing the Michigan delega-
tion; Ben Marcus representing
Wisconsin; Dr. Armando Sus-
mane representing Illinois and
Martin Hecht representing Mis-
souri,
A total of 2,000 people from
all over the United States,
Mexico, and Okinawa are ex-
pected to attend,
