Cherrick was educated in
England. He was chief rabbi to
the New Synagogue in London,

served in France as chaplain to
the British Expeditionary
Forces,
Cherrick headed the Jewish
National Fund and United
Palestine Appeal in Great Brit-
ain and appointed world director
of organization of the Hebrew
University, He is a member of
the university's major policy
committees, vice president of
Hebrew University, chairman of
the Israel Academic Committee,
vice president of the Interna-
tional Association of University
Presidents and represented the
university at IAUP congresses
in Seoul and Monrovia,
His lectures have been widely
published and be has appeared
at forums throughout the world,
Cherrick holds an honorary doe,
