52nd anniversary at its annual
donor luncheon noon Aug, 26 at
Cong. Beth Shalom, announces
President Minnie Berman, Mary
Booksteiti is donor luncheon
chairman.
Entertainment will be pro-
vided by vocalist Marcie Shul-
man, who will be accompanied
by Grant Wolach,
Ms. Shulman began studying
voice at age 10 with Shoshone
Friedman, She continued her
voice training at Wayne State
University with Avery Crew
and received a scholarship to
study voice from the Music
Study Club of Detroit,
She won a partial scholarship
to Interlochen Music Academy
while a student at Oak Park
High School,
Ms. Shulman also studied He-
brew and Yiddish music at a
young age with Cantor David
Bagley, who was associated with
the former Cons, Beth Minton,
She performed with the
Will-o-Way apprentice theater
and the Detroit Institute of Arts
Youth theater.
