Orley Naftaly The 1986 Allied Jewish Cam- paign leadership team has been announced by General Chair- men Stanley D. Frankel and Paul D. Borman. Vice chairmen are Lawrence S. Jackier, Emery I. Klein, Graham A. Orley and Joseph H. Orley. The latter three are also major gifts chairmen, with Jac- kier heading up Project Re- newal. Robert H. Naftaly, last year's general chairman, will serve as adviser to the divisions. The major gifts chairmen in- clude five former Campaign chairmen: Samuel Frankel, Jack A. Robinson, David S. Mondry, David Handleman and Daniel M. Honigman. Others are David Hermelin, Dr. Joseph M. Jacob- son, Morris Rochlin, Jane Sher- man, Joseph B. Colten and Dr. Marvin D. Siegel. Jackier is a member of Feder- ation's Executive Committee and chairs its National and Community Relations Agencies budgeting and planning di- vision. A United Jewish Appeal national vice chairman, Jackier has headed the Campaign's Pro- fessional Service Division, is on the executive committee of .the Jewish Community Center and serves on the board of United Jewish Charities. Klein, a Campaign vice chairman last year, is a member of Federation's Board of Gover- nors and serves on its Commu- nity Services Division. He is a former chairman of the Cam- paign's Mercantile Division and is on the boards of United Jewish Charities and the De- troit Service Group (DSG). The Orleys also were Cam- paign vice chairmen last year. Graham is a former chairman of the Campaign Real Estate and Building Trades Division and was pre-Campaign chairman for several years. He is vice president of the United Jewish Charities and a board member of the Max M. Fisher Jewish Community Foundation, Joseph Orley has served on Federation's Collection Review Committee and has chaired the Campaign's Industrial and Au- tomotive Division, A former pre-Campaign vice chairman, he has served on the boards of the Jewish Federation Apartments and the DSO. Frankel is a former vic president of Federation and is member of its Board of Gover nors. A recipient of the Fred M. Butzel Memorial Award, he is past president of the Jewish Community Center and sits on the boards of Sinai Hospital, United Jewish Charities and the Detroit Service Group. A vice president of Federa tion, Robinson chaired the 1984 Campaign. He is a former pre- Campaign co-chairman, has led the Professional Service Di. vision and is a board member of the Detroit Service Group and the Jewish Federation Apart- ments, of which he is a past president. Mondry has been active in the Campaign for many years, sere ing as Campaign chairman in Cominunal leaders take chairmanships and major gifts roles. 1981. A Cam- paign chairman in 1979 and 1980, he currently sits on the boards of HIAS and the Council of Jewish Federations. Honigman has served as both general chairman and associate chairman of the Campaign. He has served on Federation's Board of Governors and its Cash Mobilization Committee. Na- tionally, Honigman has served as national vice-chairman of the United Jewish Appeal and board member of the Joint Distribu- tion Committee, Active in the Jewish commu- nity, Hermelin sits on the boards of Federation and the Jewish Home for Aged.
