Holocaust Center
Needs Tour Guides

The Holocaust Memorial Cen-
ter in West Bloomfield is look-
ing for volunteers to be guides
in the museum. Guides conduct
tours for schools, religious
groups and civic organizations.
They also provide general in-
formation about exhibits, dis-
plays and the significance of the
HMC.
To be a guide, one must
attend two training sessions
which will take place on Aug,
26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
in the conference room of the
HMC. Dr, Sid Bolkosky, profes-
sor of history at the University
of Michigan - Dearborn, will
conduct these lectures,

ment once a week to required of

Five Are Named
To Sinai Board

Carolyn Kaplan Greenberg,
Richard J. Maddin, Irving A.
Rubin, Leah Snider and Norman
G. Wachler have been named to
the Sinai Hospital board of trus-
1 tees. Their terms will run
i through December 1986.
In addition, Elisa Falick is a
new member of the board by
virtue of her recent election as
president of the Sinai Hospital
Guild.
Greenberg has been president
of the Women's Division and
co-chairman of the Community
Service Budget Division of the
Jewish Welare Federation, vice
president of Jewish Family
Service, and a member .of the
national board of HIAS.
Maddin is a former president
of the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion's Young Adult Division and
current vice president of the
Jewish Community Center,
treasurer of Jewish Vocational
Service, and a Holocaust Memo-
rial Center board member. He
has served on the Sinai lay
committee on medical matters.
Rubin is a member of the Na-
tional Digestive Diseases Advi-
sory Board, the U.S. Chamber of
Commerce, and the Greater De-
troit Chamber of Commerce. He
was formerly Container Division
chairman of the Allied Jewish
Campaign.
Snider's many posts have in-
cluded president of the Greater
Detroit Chapter of Hadassah,
national board member of
Hadassah, chairman of the
Women's Division of Israel
Bonds, board member of Jewish
Family Service, and board
member of United Hebrew
Schools. She also is a past
president of the Sinai Hospital
Guild.
Wachler has been president of
the Jewish Association for Re-
tarded Citizens, board chairman
of Botsford Hospital, and direc-
tor of Children's Orthogenic
School.
Falick worked as a volunteer
for two years in the Sinai
Emergency Room and served as
a guild vice president.
