Bonds Breakfast
For Women Nears
Sydell and Douglas Schubot of
Franklin will host "Breakfast at
Schubot's 1985" on behalf of the
Golda Meir Club and the Am-
bassador's Society of Diamond
Trustees of the State of Israel
Bonds Women's Division, it was
announced by Doreen Hermelin,
division chairman.
The event, geared to the
enrollment and recognition of
1985 members of the Israel
Bonds top honor societies, will
be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 19 at
Jules R. Schubot Jewelers in
Troy.
Chairing the breakfast is
Miriam Shenkman, Golda Meir
Club chairman. Her co-chairmen
are Barbara Nusbaum and Anne
Parzen, who is Diamond Trus-
tees chairman.
Guest speaker will be William
Conant, associate with Jules R.
Schubot Estate Acquisition and
Liquidation Services, who will
discuss the history of estate
jewelry.
The Golds Meir Club was es-
tablished as a special unit of the
Israel Bonds Honor Societies to
recognize those women who
make independent Israel Bond
purchases of $5,000 or more in
any given year.
The Ambassador's Society of
Diamond Trustees honors
women who made a Bond pur-
chase of $10,000 or more.

Chagall Topic
For Senior Adults
The work of artist Marc
Chagall will be the topic of the
senior adult department of the
Jewish Community Center at 1
p.m. Tuesday in the assembly
hall of the Jimmy Prentis Mor-
ris Branch.
Artist and art historian Sybil
Mintz of Wayne State Univer-
sity will give a slide presenta-
tion. All senior adults are in-
vited free of charge.
The Friday lecture series will
feature Shelley Jackier, Israeli
dance instructor, at 1 p.m. Aug.
16 in the JPM assembly hall.
Mrs. Jackier will speak on
"Israeli Folkdance - From Its
Roots to Modern Times."
All senior adults are invited
