BARNEY ALBERT, 86, died
July 26. He leaves his wife,
Ruth; three daughters, Mrs.
Florence Kaplan, Mrs. Charles
(Elaine) Canvasser and Mrs.
Alfred (Bernice) Deutsch; a
brother, Jack of Los Angeles,
Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Sylvia
Samuels and Mrs. Edith Fried-
man of Los Angeles; 15 grand-
children and eight great-grand-
children. •

MAXINE BENSMAN, 60, of
Southfield, died July 19. Sur-
vived by her husband, Irving; a
son, Michael; two daughters,
Mrs. Robert (Brenda) Book of
Highland Park, Ill., and Mrs.
Joseph (Zelda) Hamburger of
Jerusalem, Israel; and six grand-
children.

HARRY FISHER, 84, died July
29. He leaves his wife, Mildred; a
son, Dr. William of Hidden Hills,
Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Saul
(Pat) Rosen of Livingston, N.J.; a
sister, Mrs. Rose Bosbnack of
Miami, Fla.; and five grand-
children.

MINNIE FOGELMAN, 88,
former Detroiter of Los Angeles,
Calif., died July 23. Survived by
two sons, William of Encino,
Calif. and Leo of Lancaster, Calif.;
a daughter, Mrs. Janet Gottlieb of
Woodland Hills, Calif.; a sister,
Mrs. Mildred Abrams of Detroit;
eight grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.

JULIUS FREEDMAN, 71, died
July 25. He leaves his wife, Ma-
rian; a son, Irving Allowitz of
Apopka, Fla,; a daughter, Mrs.
James (Gayle) McDonald; a
brother, Dr. David; two sisters,
Mrs. Morris (Jean) Tonkin and
Mrs. J. Haimon (Dorothy) Moss;
and four grandchildren.

SARAH SALLY GURNY, 84,
died July 28. She leaves a
daughter, Mrs. Louise Levin; two
sisters, Mrs. Anna Kaplan and
Mrs. Ilene Winkelman; and
three grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.

STEVEN A. JACKSON, 30,
died July 27. He leaves his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph (Bar-
bara) Jackson of Pomona Beach,
Fla.; a brother, Sanford Flayer; a
sister, Mrs. Thomas (Bonnie)
Machowski.

SAM KLETTER, 61, died July
28. He leaves a son, Matthew of
New York; two daughters, Mrs.
Richard (Shelley) Thomson. and
Lauren of Los Angeles, Calif.;
his mother, Mrs. May Kletter of
Louisville, Ky.; a brother, Harry
of Louisville; and three grand-
children.

RUTH "ELKIND" LEVIN, 76,
died July 30. She leaves her
husband, Abraham; and two
sons, Daniel of Dallas, Tex., and
David.

ANNA MALLIN, 93, of South-
field, died July 24. Survived by a
son, Milford; a brothei, .Max
Trager of Chicago,' 1114 four
grandchildren and tWo ,great-
grandchildren.

LILLYAN MARX, 78, died July
26. She leaves two sisters, Mrs.
Nathan (Eileen) Levitt and Mrs.
Bernard (Neldonna) Raitt.

former Detroiter of San Diego,
Calif., died July 15. She leaves
her husband, Isadore; a daugh-
ter, Mrs. Lili Riley of Rhode Is-
land; and one granddaughter.
Interment San Diego.

SAM PICKMAN, 66, died July
24. He leaves his wife, Lenore; a
son, Michael Pearlman; two
daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Parr
of Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs.
Ruthanne Pearlman; a brother,
Jack Pearlman of St. James
City, Fla.; a sister, Belle Weins-
tein.

SAMUEL S. SERWER, 75, died
July 30. He leaves his wife,
Geraldine; two sons, James of
San Jose, Calif., and Harold; a
daughter, Mrs. Wendy Ormond
of Connecticut; and a sister,
Dorothy.

BENJAMIN SHAPIRO, 69, of
Farmington Hills, died July 25.
Survived by his wife, Mae; a son,
Dennis; and one grandson.

KAL JERUD SWEET, 2, died
July 25. He leaves his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Ida) Sweet.

KOUNI, 57, of West Bloomfield,
died July 25. Survived by his
wife, Irene; two sons, Gilbert
Zyrulnik and Leonard Zyrulnik;
two daughters, Debbie and
Diana Takouni; a brother,
Marco; a sister, Mrs. Regina S.
Feldberg of Las Vegas, Nev.; and
four grandchildren.

Jack Tauber

Jack Tauber, a metallurgist
with Ford Motor Co. for more
than 40 years, died July 29 at
age 76.
Born in Detroit, Mr. Tauber
was a member Of the Society of
Metallurgical Engineers and a
graduate of Wayne State Uni-
versity. He set up the metallur-
gical plant in Sheffield, Ala., for
the car manufacturer. He also
was the manager of the Ford
tractor plant in Birmingham,
Ala.
Mr. Tauber was a member of
the Troy Jewish Congregation.
He leaves his wife, Jeanna; a
son, Dennis of Pelham, Ala.; a
daughter, Mrs. Stuart (Susan)
Hyke; a brother, Joseph of
Camarillo, Calif.; two sisters,
Mrs. Irving (Ruth) Fenchel and
Mrs. Robert (Jeanette) Feldman;
and six grandchildren.
