Turtles) were really up."
Christy concurs. "If it's a
good record, it's still a good re-
cord. It's a piece of music that
has some character to it.
That's why that music appeals
to people who never heard it
before, because it can stand on
its own and it has its own
character and quality to it."
Kaylan said he sees a swing
back to the '60s-era music in
the rock n' roll heard today.
"We're seeing a chart now that
could've happened in the
1960s. It doesn't surprise me
any more than the success of
the 'Happy Together' tour sur-
prises me. It was bound to
happen."
And for the future of rock n'
roll? Kaylan predicts, "It's
going right back to where it
was, which is the best place for
it to be, which is happy good
stuff and no politics involved."
Kaylan also predicts that he
and his partner Volman have
a long working future together
- happy together.
