The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Clara Freeman of Hun-
`-:ington Woods and the late Mr.
Milton Freeman. Parents of the
bridegroom are Betty and Ed-
ward Stern of Oak Park.
Sarah Holland was her niece's
maid of honor. Dr. Jeffrey Stern
was his brother's best man.
The couple is residing in San
Diego, Calif.

Moses on Saturday, Emily Shook,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawr-
ence Shook of West Bloomfield,
, twinned her bat mitzvah with
Bella Khayamov, daughter of
Yakov and Guzel Khayamov of
Derbent, RSFSR, USSR.
, The Khayamovs applied for a
visa to leave the USSR, but have
been refused since 1980, for an
unknown reason. Khayamov's
mother lives with them, and they
have five children, including Be-
> lla , ranging in age from 7
through 13.
A Soviet Jew who has been
consistently denied permission to
> emigrate to Israel, is harassed by
the KGB, usually dismissed from
, ‘ his or her place of employment
and lives in fear of arrest and
> trumped-up charges, resulting in
imprisonment.
Since it is forbidden . by Soviet

law for anyone under 16 to take
> part in a religious ceremony,
Bella was denied her right to be a

Eliashberg, the son of Jakov and
Adassa Eliashberg of Leningrad,
USSR, at 9 a.m. services Satur-
day.
Vitaly will be 13 in 1985 but as
it is forbidden by Soviet law for
anyone under 16 to take part in a
religious ceremony, he is being
denied his right to be a bar
mitzvah.
