"King Hussein's Peace Initia-
tive: Substance or Subterfuge?"
will be the theme of a public
forum Thursday at 8 p.m. at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek, it was
announced by Leonard Herman,
president of Metro Detroit Dis-
trict, Zionist Organization of
America.
Guest speaker will be M.J.
Rosenberg, editor of the Near
East Report, organ of the
American Israel Public Affairs
Committee.
Former legislative assistant to
Congressman Jonathan Bin-
gham of New York, Rosenberg
became known to the Jewish
community as a leading pro-
israel activist on the campus
and as author of to Uncle Tom
and Other Such Jews, which
was reprinted throughout the
world.
The forum is cosponsored by
the Shaarey Zedek Men's Club
and Sisterhood. The public is
invited. Participants in the pro-
gram will be Sheldon B.
Satovsky and Mrs. Helene Cher-
rin, presidents, respectively, of
Shaarey Zedek Men's Club and
Sisterhood. Dr. Jerome Kauf-
man, vice president of Metro
Detroit ZOA, is coordinating the
program.

division of the Southfield Parks
and Recreation Department, is
now holding registration for
summer classes to be held at the
Southfield Art Center.
The classes include youth pot-
tery, making things out of wood,
Asunars Oriental Art, classical
music, photography, mixed
Media painting, dry media, pot-
tery and figure drawing.
