Barbara and Sherwin Sokolov

Judith Gayle, to Matt Louis
Leavitt, son of Nancy and Alfred
Leavitt of East Grand Rapids.
Miss Sokolov was graduated
from the University of Michigan
with a B.S. degree in psychology
and Michigan State University
College of Veterinary Medicine

in June. She currently is prac-
ticing at the Lincoln Park Vet-
erinary Hospital.

Her fiance was graduated
from U-M with a B.S. degree in
economics and biology. He is a
senior at the Michigan State
University College of Osteo-
pathic Medicine.
A July wedding is planned.

Toastmasters Are Honored

Awards were given to
toastmaster members for proven
achievement tothe recent instal-
lation of the Jewish Community
Center Toastmasters group.
President Larry Bissinger and
Dan Olei received awards "for
the potential for speaking excel-
lence." Barbara ()strand re-
ceived an award "for active par-
ticipation in club activities."
The award for constructive con-
tribution to club development

went to Andy Segel. Darryl Yee
received an award "for excel-
lence in listening skills."
The outstanding achievement
award was presented to Leon
Linderman. Steve Fligman was
named most improved speaker.
Toastmasters is an organiza-
tion for persons interested in
improving their public speaking
potential and communications
