the Southfield Senior Adult Cen-

'President Steve Hurite will in-
stall the officers.
They are: Saul Glosser,
president; Ben Elkin, first vice

Carl Lichtenstein of South-
field is one of the four Jewish
field
lay leaders to be honored by the
Federation of Jewish Men's
Clubs at its 53rd convention to
be held Aug. 11-15 at the Con-
'cord Hotel in Kiamesha Lake,
N.Y.
Lichtenstein will be presented
the federation's "Ma'Asim To-
vim" Award for service to the
Federation and to Conservative
Judaism.
, A founder of the Great Lakes
( Region of the federation,
Lichtenstein served as its re-
cording secretary for many
years. He is a past president of
the Adat Shalom Men's Club
and a past regional president.
He has been a member of the
FJMC board of directors since
1972. While Chairman of the
_, FJMC committee on member-
, ship, he produced two pamphlets
on membership recruitment and
retention that are still in use.
He also supervised the creation
of men's club manual for the in-
ternational association.
At the forthcoming conven-
tion, which will be co-chaired by
Sheldon Satovsky of Southfield,
the federation also will pay
tribute to Abba Eban and Public
Television station WNET for the
series, Heritage: Civilization and
the Jews.
Dr. Harvey Nussbaum and
= Adat Shalom Synagogue, Great
; Lakes Region president, will
conduct a leadership training
workshop.
