Topic For Seniors

Sharon Schwartz of the Mid-
rasha will speak on "Jewish
Humor" at the Active Adults
luncheon/lecture series at noon
Monday in room 239 of the main
Jewish Community Center.
Luncheon will be served at a
nominal fee.

The Jewish. Community Cen-
ter in conjunction with the
Fresh Air Society will offer a
summer getaway experience for
senior adults at the Butzel Con-
ference Center in Ortonville.
Outdoor sports and games,
arts and crafts, fishing, hiking,
dancing, and Shabbat services
are offered. In addition, there
will be experts in residence in
the fields of art, Judaica and
current events. Guest artists
will appear at each session.
Kosher meals will be served.
There are still a few openings
available for the one-week ses-
sions which begin July 8 and
end Aug. 18. For information,

To Isolated Elderly

The Jewish Community Cen-
ter seeks to identify isolated and
lonely older persons in order
that they may receive a morn-
ing call of friendship and reas-
surance. The program is part of
a newly announced effort be-
tween the Jewish Center, Sinai
Hospital and Sinai Hospital
Guild's Service With Love pro-
gram.
