Diplomat To Address Israel Bond Dinner

Yoav Biran, assistant director
general of Israel's Ministry for
Foreign Affairs, will be the
guest speaker at the annual
Cong. Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses Israel Bond Tribute
Dinner 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The dinner, to be held in the
West Bloomfield synagogue's so-
cial hall, will honor Dr. and
Mrs. Sheldon Mintz. The Mintz's
will receive the Lion of Judah
Award at the dinner. Dinner
chairman is Dr. Harris Mains-
ter.

be guest speaker at the Cong.
B'nai David Tribute Dinner to
be held 6 p.m. Thursday in the
synagogue's social ball.
The dinner, the congregation's
24th annual event for State of
Israel Bonds, will honor com-
munal leader Nathan Pack' of
West Bloomfield, who will be
presented with the State of Is-
rael's "Tower of David" Award.
Other planned program events
include a special audio/visual
presentation, Building the
Jewish Nation, and a brief con-
cert of Yiddish folk songs.
Dinner chairman is Jerome
Soble; congregation president is

Philip Bolton.
Dr. Rubenstein has served as
dean of the law faculty at Tel
Aviv University and as a
member of the editorial board of
the Hebrew daily Ha'aretz. He is
the author of numerous books
and articles.
Head of the Shinui Center
Party, he has served on the
foreign affairs and defense
committee and on the economic
committee of the Knesset.
Dr. Rubenstein earned his law
degree at the Hebrew Univer-
sity and holds a doctorate from
the University of London.
