Classes, Sr. Events At JCC

The Jewish Community Cen-
ter is offering a class in rocks
and minerals starting 10 a.m.
Tuesday, and a discussion group
entitled "Center Debating
Society" starting 10 a.m. Wed-
nesday.
The JCC's newly formed
group, Center Toastmasters, will
hold its charter dinner at 7 p.m.
Tuesday in the main JCC.
Toastmasters provides leader-
ship training and helps develop
communication skills. There is a
charge for the dinner. For reser-
vations, call Larry Bissinger,
258-9630.
The JCC is sponsoring many
senior events. Dan Stencil, a
recreation supervisor for the
Oakland County Parks, will
present a slide show on county
parks at noon Monday in the
main JCC. A buffet lunch ca-
tered by Zayde's will be served.
There is a small fee for lunch.

Klein or Judy Samson, 661-
1000, ext. 235.
Many activities for seniors are
being offered on Tuesday at the
Jimmy Prentis Morris branch,
including a book review by
Chana Klein of America-Inside
Out by David Shoenbrun and a
program entitled "Jews are a
Daneing People" at 1 p.m. in
Assembly Hall.
Iry Lichtman will lead a cur-
rent event discussion for the
Active Adults luncheon/lecture
series at noon Thursday at the
main JCC. Lunch will be ca-
tered by Zayde's for a minimal
fee. For reservations, call De-
bbie Klein or Judy Samson,
661-1000, ext. 235.
The JPM senior Adult De-
partment and the Midrasha will
continue Sharon Schwartz's lec-

ture series on "The World of
Issac Bashevis Singer" on Fri-
day, and they will present their
senior choir, composed of 35
voices, on June 9. The choir will
be led by Music Director, Debbie
Klein.
