Professor Wins Prize Rehovot — Professor Ephraim Katchalski-Katzir of the Weiz- mann Institute has been named one of the two first recipients of the Japan Prize in Biotechnology that was awarded in Tokyo. The prize honors researchers who have made original contributions to science, "and have thereby ad- vanced human peace and prosper- ity." The award has a 50 million yen (approximately $200,000) prize. In addition to his ranking posi- tion at the Weizmann Institute, Prof. Katchalski-Katzir, who served as Israel's fourth president from 1973 to 1978, heads the Biotechnology Center at Tel Aviv University. Be sure to make a right turn onto Perryville Road and proceed 1/2 mile to camp entrance. Camp Tamarack, Brighton Take the Lodge Freeway to the Lansing exit (696) to 1-96. Follow 1-96 west for about 23 miles. Take the US-23 NORTH exit and follow US-23 north for 8 miles. Take the M-59 exit (marked PONT1AC-HARTLAND). Follow M-59 west (left from exit ramp) for a very short distance, until you come to a traf- fic light. This is the old US-23, which is parallel to the new US-23 ex- pressway. Turn left on US-23 (which is almost like a service drive on the ex- pressway) and go about 2 miles. Then, turn right (west) onto the Camp road.
