JVS Has Special Program For Women Through a grant from the Michigan Department of Labor, Office of Women and Work, Jewish Vocational Service and Community Workshop, a non- sectarian agency, announces the fourth year of its displaced homemaker program for indi- viduals from Wayne and Oakland counties. Displaced homemakers are women who, through divorce, separation, widowhood or disabil- ity of spouse, have lost their source of economic support. This special on-going program offers vocational assessment, vocational counseling, job seeking skills and job placement assis- tance. Women who need to be- come financially self-sufficient, who need help in entering the job market after many years in the home, are invited to apply. Eligibility is based on marital and employment status. There are no income guidelines.
