Gloria B. Ellis, immediate past
chairman of the Michigan Region,
B'nai B'rith Youth Organization
board of directors, is one of nine
recipients nationally of the BBYO
Gold Key Service award.
The award was presented by
her husband, Robert L. Ellis, a
previous key winner, at the recent
Adviser's Recognition Night
sponsored for the youth organiza-
tion by the Metropolitan Detroit
B'nai B'rith Council and the B'nai
B'rith Women's Council of Met-
ropolitan Detroit. The service
award recognizes outstanding
contributions to the international
BBYO program.
Mrs. Ellis has served the
Michigan BBYO Board in many
capacities over the past decade.
Prior to her chairmanship from
1981 to 1983, she held the post of
vice chairman and headed the
board's major fund-raising activi-
ties. She co-chaired the first Walk
for Israel staged by the youth pro-
gram, as well as headed several
task forces charged with asses-
sing the youth program. She pre-
sently is co-chairman of the
board's library committee..
A member of Ivan S. Bloch
Chapter, Mrs. Ellis is a past
president of the B'nai B'rith
Women's Council of Metropolitan
Detroit. She served as first chair-
man of the Midwest Region B'nai
B'rith Women from 1978 to 1980,
and as a member of the B'nai
B'rith Women's executive board
from 1982 to 1984. She is cur-
rently a member of the interna-
tional organization's regional
services committee.

Bonds Has Summer
Tour To Israel
The State of Israel Bonds Na-
tional New Leadership Division
will sponsor an international
delegation to Israel — "Ku-la-nu"
(All of Us, Together) — from July
21 - Aug. 1.
Open to all Israel Bond New
Leadership members and pro-
spective members, the trip will
include round-trip international
airfare; group transfers in Israel;
touring in air-conditioned buses
with government licensed guides;
most meals, including a banquet;
and all five-star hotels.
The delegates, young adults
from the U.S., Canada and Latin
America, will visit the sites and
achievements of ancient and
modern Israel and see the ad-
vances in science, agriculture and
high tech industry.
They will enjoy home hospital-
ity with young Israeli counter-
parts and meet residents of new
settlements in Judea, Israeli
soldiers, kibbutz and moshav
members. They will meet the
leaders of Israel at top-level meet-
ings with cabinet ministers, gov-
ernment and military leaders.
Other highlights include join-
ing in the closing ceremonies of
the Maccabia, the international'
Jewish Olympics club.
The all-inclusive price, exclud-
ing domestic air fare, is $1,595 per
