Sheri Wagner

The Soviet Jewry Youth Com-
mittee will benefit the advocacy
programs of the Detroit Soviet
Jewry Committee of the Jewish
Community Council at its toy sale
to precede the Fourth Annual
Freedom Concert for Soviet Jewry
in memory of Al M. Rosenberg.
The concert will take place at 8
p.m. June 3 at Cong. Shaarey
Zedek, featuring the vocal group
Safam. The youth will sell the
animals, donated by American
Greetings, prior to the concert.
Sheri Wagner chairs the youth
committee. Members include
Michele Berkovic, Jackie Chazer,
P.J. Cherrin, Scott Glickman,
Andrea Goldman, Ian Kott, Ellen
Kraft, David Kramer, Josh Krut,
Eric Rosenfeld, Mark Schwartz
and Laurel Simmer.
The young people are all sixth
and seventh grade students in the
Cong. Shaarey Zedek Religious
School.
Having "twinned" her Bat
Mitzvah with Ann Ioffe of Mos-
cow, Sheri says she, "Encourages
all of the members of the Soviet
Jewry Youth Committee to hold
`twinnings' with 13 year olds in
the Soviet Union who cannot have
their own b'nai/b'not mitzvah."

ticket information.
