3 In Terror
Trial Jailed
Jerusalem (JTA) — Three de-
fendants in the Jewish terror trial
were sent to jail last Thursday by
the Jerusalem District Court, for
terms of up to three years.
The heaviest sentence was im-
posed on Dan Be Eri, a convert
from Hebron, who was charged
with conspiracy to blow up the
Dome of the Rock on the Temple
Mount. Be Eri, 41, was sentenced
to five years in prison. Two years
of the term were suspended.
Uri Maier, 37, was sent to
prison for 30 months plus 18
months suspended sentence. He
pleaded guilty to attempting to
cause grievous bodily harm in
connection with the attempts on
the lives of the Arab mayors, the
illegal possession and transport of
weapons and membership in a
terrorist organization.
Yossi Edri, 25, was sent to jail
for 25 months, plus five months
suspended sentence. He pleaded
guilty to providing means to
commit a felony and to the posses-
sion of arms and explosions. He
purchased four timing devices
which were to have been used in
an attack on Arab vehicles.
The three were convicted fol-
lowing plea bargaining, and
therefore their trials were sepa-
rated from the others accused.
