The United Hebrew Schools
Nursery School will have an
open house from 1 to 4 p.m. on
May 5. Parents and children are
invited to visit the school, meet
the staff and see the facilities.
The nursery school offers flex-
ible scheduling (two, three or
five days, half or full day ses-
sions with extended time if
needed).
There is a breakfast hour for
"early birds" or those who need
to start their day at 8 a.m. (A
hot breakfast is served.)
Several lunch hour options
are available. No reservations
required.
The program consists of on-
going enrichment in art, music,
language development, science,
cooking, "Healthy Munch" days,
reading readiness and field
trips, with time for play. In
addition, the children are intro-
duced to the Judaic culture
through holiday celebrations
and weekly Sabbath parties.
The nursery school also offers
two other programs: a parent/
toddler group which allows chil-
dren ages 18 months to 2 1/2
years to explore the beginnings
of socialization as an introduc-
tion to "group living" and a
summer camp program for chil-
dren ages 3 to 5 which offers
arts and crafts, song fests and
water play.
The nursery school is under
the direction of Sylvia Handler,
Reva Klaymer, Marlene Galpe-
rin and Nancy Nida. The day
camp is under the supervision of
Ms. Handler and Anita Jacobs.
For information, call the nur-
sery school, 356-7378 or 354-
1050.
