A new program being offered
to the Jewish community for
couples contemplating marriage
will be inaugurated on May 5 at
1 p.m. at the main Jewish
Community Center.
Dr. James Labes is course
coordinator.
Instructors are: Phyllis
Schwartz, a caseworker at the
Jewish Family Service will dis-
cuss the most common concerns
seen by a marriage counselor,
focusing on their causes and
prevention. Charles Nida, attor-
ney, will address the topics of
financial planning, sharing joint
incomes, investments, insur-
ance, pre-marital agreements,
etc. Dr. Labes will discuss
hereditary and sexually trans
mitted diseases, blood tests,
sexual function and dysfunction,
contraception, understanding
PMS, pregnancy and infertility.
Emphasis. will be placed on
the development of communica-
tions skills between partners.
Problem solving techniques will
be illustrated. For information
