RENEE ALPERT, former De-
troiter of North Miami Beach,
Fla., died April 21. Survived by
two daughters, Lynne Nusgart of
Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Robert
(Marsha) Dickman of Huntington
Woods; four grandchildren and
nieces and nephews.

JACK LESTER died April 23.
He leaves a brother, George of
Lauderhill, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs.
Faye. Berman of Los Angeles,
Calif., and Mrs. Rose Good of
Encino, Calif.

Alex; two sons, Donald Ross and
Dr. Richard; a brother, Jack
Munder of Skokie, Ill.; a sister,
Mrs. Misha (Hilda) Allen of To-
ronto, Ont.; ten grandchildren
and one great-grandchild.

BARBARA LEVY, 24, died
April 20. She leaves her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. (Julie)
Levy, Jr.; two sisters, Ellen and
Carol; her grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Jason (Edith) Honigman.

JOSEPH ALBERT SCHEY, 64,
of Southfield, died April 24. Sur-
vived by his wife, Norma Jean;
two daughters, Mrs. David
(Linda) Guz and Katherine; and
one granddaughter.

WILLIAM BLUM, 81, died April
20. He leaves his wife, Dorothy;
two sons, Morton and Irving; a sis-
ter, Sophie; seven grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren.

LOUIS LITWAK, 88, of Oak
Park, died April 22. Survived by
his wife, Mildred; a son, Benson
E.; a daughter, Mrs. Harry (Phyl-
lis) Samet; ten grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren.

DAVID DEITCH, 30, died April
21. He leaves his mother, Sarah
Deitch; a sister, Mrs. Ronald-(Re-
nee) Forman; and two brothers,
Howard and Jeffrey.

NAT MATONE, 70, of Oak Park,
died April 22. Survived by his
wife, Lillie; a son, Larry; and two
grandchildren.

SABINA LEA SINGER, 87, of
Southfield, died April 18. Sur-
vived by a son, Simon S.; three
daughters, Mrs. Jack (Eleanor)
Sol, Mrs. Herbert (Nesia) Hordes
of Tel Aviv, Israel, and Mrs. Kay
Wolin of Birmingham; two
brothers, Morris Indianer and
Joseph Indianer of Miami Beach,
Fla.; 15 grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren.

EDNA ALTMAN died April 22.
She leaves her husband, Sam; a
daughter, Mrs. Martin (Rita) Vit-
tes; a brother, two sisters and two
grandsons.

ARMIN DEUTSCH, 75, of
Southfield, died April 23. Sur-
vived by his wife, Emilia; two
daughters, Mrs. Michael
(Ecaterina) Howard of North Hol-
lywood, Calif., Mrs. Walter (Gar-
riella) Sprenger of El Paso, Tex.;
three brothers, Alex H., Michael
F. and Bela W.; a sister, Mrs. Sara
Roth of Natanya, Israel; and two
grandsons.

SOLOMON FRIEDMAN, 84,
died April 23. He leaves a son, Dr.
Neil of Chicago, Ill.; and one
grandson.

SONIA L. GOLDMAN, 71, died
April 22. She leaves a daughter,
Mrs. James (Doris) August; a
brother, Dr. Abraham Charnes of
Austin, Tex.; a sister, Mrs.
Samuel (Lama) Shetzer; and
three grandsons.

SYLVIA GOLDSMITH, 66, died
April 19. She leaves her husband,
Henry; a son, Phillip; a daughter,
Mrs. Stuart (Eileen) Eisenberg; a
brother, Irving Kartzman of
Encino, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs.
Phillip (Charlotte) Edelheit, Mrs.
Samuel (Lillian) Dictor of Los
Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Marty
(Anne) Cobin of Palm Springs,

and Mrs. Isaac (Ray) Glickoff of
Dearborn Heights.

RUTH GERTRUDE KANTER,
74, died April 23. She leaves four
sons, Ben of San Jose, Calif., Jerry
of Denver, Colo., Robert and
Bruce of New York City; a sister,
Mrs. Morris (Florence) Goldberg;
a brother, Clement Goldman; and
one granddaughter.

DAVE KATZMAN, 77, former
Detroiter of Lauderdale Lakes,
Fla., died April 9. Survived by his
wife, Gerry; two sons, Dr. Sidney
of Westland and Paul of South-
field; and five grandchildren.

ANNE J. MOSS, 83, former De-
troiter of North Miami Beach,
Fla., died April 17. She leaves her

EMILY PILATO, 84, of Royal
Oak, died April 12. Survived by
her husband, Sam; a son, Leonard

Louis Bloom, a furniture ware-
house manager, died April 20 at
age 71.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y.,
Bloom lived 34 years in Detroit.
He was a member of Perfection
Lodge of the Masons, Crescent
Shrine Club, Moslem Temple and
Pisgah Lodge of B'nai B'rith.
He leaves his wife, Shirlee; a
son, Marc; a daughter, Debra; a
brother, Saul; and a sister, Mrs.
Sol (Minnie) Racklin of West Vir-
