Jenny and Julius Belfour

TAKE AN ADDITIONAL

60th Anniversary

Bay, Mich.
In 1971, the Belfours retired
and settled in Suttons Bay. Since
this move, they have become
active members of Cong. Beth El.
The couple participates in all
aspects of this small synagogue's
activities. They are active as fun-
draisers and Belfour was involved
in the synagogue's recent interior
restoration. Mrs. Belfour has held
the office of treasurer, and her
husband often conducts services
in the absence of a rabbi.
The Belfours are the oldest
members of Cong. Beth El, while
the synagogue has the distinction
of being the oldest building in con-
tinuous use as a synagogue within
the state of Michigan.
Cong. Beth El, constructed in
1885, will celebrate its centennial
in August 1985. The Belfours
have been designated as king and
queen of this centennial celebra-
tion.
