Christian Support
For Israel Debated

The second in a continuing
series of forums on controversial
issues being sponsored by the
Jewish Community Council of
Metropolitan Detroit will focus on
"Christian Fundamentalist Sup-
port for Israel." The program will
take place on April 29 at 8 p.m. at
Cong. Beth Achim.
Differing viewpoints will be
presented by Ronald Karp and
Edward.C. Levy Jr. Karp is a De-
troit area attorney, who is a past
vice president of the Jewish
Community Council. He has also
served as chairman of Council's
committee on international con-
cerns. Levy is a local business-
man, who currently serves as na-
tional vice president of the
American Israel Public Affairs
Committee (AIPAC).
The program is open to the pub-
lic. There is no charge. Congrega-
tion Beth Achim is a co-sponsor of
the program.

Sculpture Show
At Main Center

Aharon Bezalel, sculptor, will
present his work at the main
Jewish Community Center from
April 26 to May 5.
The exhibit consists of more
than 30 pieces in beaten bronze
and beaten striated aluminum.
Highlighting the collection will
be works representing an innova-
tive style termed "interchange-
able sculpture." Each work con-
sists of several pieces which can
be moved around at will to pro-
duce different shapes or a differ-
ent sculpture.

and fashion show for seniors 12:30
p.m. Agril 27 at the center.

Singles Mission
To Israel Planned

Detroiters age 22-35 are invited
to join the Jewish Welfare Feder-
ation Young Adult Division when
it participates in the United
Jewish Appeal National Singles
Mission to Israel which takes
place July 21 to 31.
Interested persons are invited
to attend an information meeting,
7:30 p.m. May 2 in the home of
Roselyn and Stanford Blanck.
Michael Feldman, a veteran of
many missions to Israel, will show
slides and discuss the cost and
itinerary.
Among the many points of
interest, mission participants will
visit Ramla, Detroit's Project Re-
newal twin city. The group will
see the country, meet with its
people, and participate in a wide
variety of informal social activi-
ties.
Susan Edelman is chairman of
the YAD Missions Committee.
Lynn Tarnoff is vice chairman.
