Area Program
On Legacy Exhibit
The city of Southfield's Cul-
tural Arts Division this month is
offering a special program in con-
junction with The Precious Le-
gacy Exhibit at the Detroit Insti-
tute of Arts.
A slide show and lecture by
Esther Tarnoff Cooper preview-
ing the exhibit will be held 1 p.m.
Thursday at the Parks and Rec-
reation Building. The Cultural
Arts Division will provide bus
transportation to and from the
DIA for those wishing to see the
exhibit on April 24.
There is a charge covering both
the lecture and trasnportation.

Lectures Slated
The Center for New Thinking
will present a talk by Rabbi
Sherwin Wine on "Authority and
Respect: Challenge to Parents,
Teachers and Children" 2:30 p.m.
Sunday at the Somerset Mall in
Troy. Rabbi Wine will discuss The
Minimal Self, a new book by
Christopher Lasch, 10 a.m.
Thursday at the mall.

Space Exhibits
At Science Center
"Visions in Space," a collection
of paintings by Kurt Burmann
and "Benefits to Life from Aero-
space Research," an exhibit on
loan from the National Aeronau-
tics and Space Administration;
are on display at the Detroit Sci-
ence Center through June 16.
The center is open daily except

Concert Sunday
The Wayne State University
Choral Union and Orchestra,
under the direction of Dennis
Tini, will stage their annual
Spring Concert 1 p.m. Sunday at
Orchestra Hall. The concert will
feature pianist Mischa Kottler.
