Assisted Living:

Independence with a little help
from Kelly Health Care.

Friendly Visitors
Program Started

The Jimmy Prentis Morris
Branch of the Jewish Center has
begun a Friendly Visitors pro-
gram to provide companionship to
the homebound elderly.
Volunteers will provide a
"friendly visit" one day each
week. Initially, the program will
serve senior adults living in
North Royal Oak Township, in-
cluding residents of Lincoln To-
wers, Northgate Apts. and Rue
Versailles Apts.
Persons who have names of
seniors who can benefit from the
program or who need information
should call Judy Samson, 967-
4030.
The program is supported by a
grant from Area Agency on Ag-
ing, 1-B.
The Morris Branch has been
selected as a satellite for the Serv-
ice With Love program co-
sponsored by the Jewish Center,
Sinai Hospital and the hospital
guild.
Volunteers make daily calls to
the homebound elderly. Callers
and clients are being sought in
Oak park and adjacent com-
munities.
Volunteer callers must be
available one morning a week to
telephone about eight-12 persons
from their homes.
To be a caller or to benefit from
the service, call Ms. Samson.
