Abram, vice chair- man, United States Commission on Civil Rights, will address the Wh D o issue of "Civil Rights:ere We Go From Here?" at 7:45 p.m. ',April 16 at Temple Beth El. S Jordan Band, past chairman of National Jewish Community Re- lations Advisory Council, will re- spond and Dr. William Haber, University of Michigan, will chair the meeting. A past president of Brandeis University and the American Jewish Committee - and current chairman of the National Confer- ence on Soviet Jewry, Abram has played a major role in the civil ''rights movement. He challenged the county unit election system then in force in Georgia and won in the Supreme Court in 1963 in a ruling ("One man, one vote") that affected reapportionment deci- sions involving Congress and legislatures across the nation. Abram was a member of the American prosecution staff at the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg, Germany, after World War II. He has received many Presidential appointments.
