Health Screening
For The Elderly

The Jewish Community Cen-
ter, in cooperation with Sinai
Hospital of Detroit and the Jewish
Welfare Federation, is offering a
health screening service for
seniors at the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Branch. This service is
available every Thursday from 1
to 4:30 p.m. in room 10.
The program provides informa-
tion on physicians and medical
and dental facilities. Monthly lec-
tures by Sinai staff on common
concerns of seniors will be fol-
lowed by related medical screen-
ing procedures. Blood pressure
checks will be available at all ses-
sions. In addition, a physician
from Sinai's staff will be available
for physical examinations for
seniors who do not have a doctor
or are handicapped.

The Center's eighth annual
Chai long-distance run will take
place May 19 beginning at the
main Center complex. The one-
mile run begins at 8 a.m. while
the three-, six-, nine-, 12- and
18-mile runs begin at 8:30 a.m.
Refreshments and water sta-
tions will be available. Locker
rooms also will be available.
There is a fee, payable by May
10. For official entry forms, call
