In conjunction with the
WDIV-TV (Channel 4) airing of
the miniseries, "Wallenberg: A
Hero's Story," at 9 p.m. April 8
and 9, the Jewish Community
Council of Metropolitan Detroit is
making arrangements to distrib-
ute a viewer's guide to schools in
the Detroit area.
"Wallenberg" tells the story of
the Swedish diplomat Raoul Wal-
lenberg, who was responsible for
the rescue of tens of thousands of
Jews from Nazi-occupied Europe.
Wallenberg was one of only three
persons in this country's history
ever to be granted honorary
American citizenship. The drama
stars Richard Chamberlain in the
title role.
Teachers and administrators
interested in receiving viewers'
guides should call the Council
office, 962-1880; or WDIV-TV,
222-0643.
