CHAIM To Meet

Children of Holocaust Sur-
vivors Association in Michigan
(CHAIM) will meet at 7:30 p.m.
March 31 at the main Jewish
Community Center.
Topic for the evening will be
"An Examination of Anti-
Semitism: Past and Present."
Speakers include Richard Lo-
benthal, regional director of the
Anti-Defamation League, and Dr.
Sidney Bolkosky, professor of his-
tory, University of Michigan-
Dearborn and coordinator of the
oral history project for the
Holocaust Memorial Center.
The film, The Well, will be
shown. The community is invited
• free of charge.
CHAIM is starting a new sup-
port group. Children of survivors
who are interested in meeting
with others to discuss their
thoughts and attitudes are in-
vited.

Skin Cancer Exams
Are Offered

To promote the early detection
and proper treatment of skin
cancer, doctors from the Michigan
Dermatological Society will con-
duct free examinations on Wed-
nesday.
Examinations will be given
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mercy
Conference Center in Farmington
Hills, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the
Southfield Parks and Recreation
Building and from 11 a.m. to 4
p.m. at the main Jewish Commu-
nity Center.

Volunteers Sought

The Cancer Information Serv-
ice, housed at the Michigan
Cancer Foundation (MCF), is re-_
cruiting volunteers to become in-
formation specialists for the toll-
free telephone information and
referral system.
Persons interested in becoming
a part of the volunteer effort
should call- Volunteer Services at
MCF, 833-0710, ext. 367.
