didn't, know there were any
Jewish Masons.
It was down in a basement
and, when we got down there, I
could tell — well, not to
stereotype looks, but there
were very few Jewish faces in
that Mason lodge. I'm think-

phone, comes up to us and
says, 'None of the Jewish Ma-
sons showed up. We don't
know why.'

anyway — because we always
translate into English before
we play.

finally calls us on and, all of a
sudden, all the men get up and
leave! And all that are left are
the ladies. The men went up-
stairs -to do something — we
never did determine just what
— and all the non-Jewish
ladies were left downstairs,
listening to us. And you know
what? It went over wonder-
fully."
The two encountered an-
other difficulty recently when
a group of elderly women
talked non-stop throughout
their 40-minute performance
at a local synagogue. Finally,
