Moshe Sermoneta

Detroit will host two Israeli
high school students next week as
part of the goodwill ambassadors
program organized and sponsored
by Israel's ministries of education
and foreign affairs.
Moshe Sermoneta and Orly
Erez will visit five area high
schools, meet with youth groups
and make media appearances
during their stay. They will speak
with students at Southfield High,
Benedictine High, Oak Park
High, St. Mary's Preparatory and
Southfield-Lathrup High.
. Moshe will reside at the home of
Dr. Richard and Sally Krugel, and
Orly will stay with the Ed and
Sherri Lumberg family. The two

Orly Erez

students are part of a group of
eight Israeli high school students
who will visit various Midwest
cities over a five-week period.
They travel in boy-girl pairs, and
receive home hospitality in each
city.
The student delegation repre-
sents diverse geographical and
cultural backgrounds. The project
hopes to foster dialogue and estab-
lish better understanding be-
tween American and Israeli
youth.
Moshe, 17, is from Lod, and
plays first trombone in the Lod
Youth Band. Orly, 16, is from Re-
hovot, and is a guide in the Israeli
Girl Scouts.
