50th Anniversary

Eli and Esther Listopad, former
Oak Park residents currently liv-
ing in Hallandale, Fla., recently
celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary.
The couple was married in
Mlawa, Poland.
While in Oak Park, Listopad
was a meat cutter at Dexter-
Davison Market. He and his wife
were membeRs of Shaarit Hap-
laytah.
Their children are Mark and
Gilda Foster of Los Angeles and
Dr. Morris and Anita Listopad of
Miami, Fla. The senior Listopads'
grandchildren are Daniel and
Michael Foster and Howard,
Michael and Ruth Listopad.
The senior Listopads were ten-
dered parties in Los Angeles, by
their daughter and son-in-law,
and in Miami by their son and
daughter-in-law.

Ecumenical Evening
At Precious Legacy

Rev. James R. Lyons will speak
on "What is the Legacy?" at a pri-
vate showing of the Precious Le-
gacy exhibit on March 24 at 6 p.m.
at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
The evening also includes a tour
of fthe exhibit, followed by a wine
and cheese reception (dietary
laws observed).
This ecumenical evening is co-
sponsored by the American
Jewish Committee, the Archdio-
cese of Detroit, the Center for
Polish Studies and Culture, the
Christian Communication Coun-
cil, the Ecumenical Institute for
Jewish-Christian Studies, the
Greater Detroit Round Table of
the National Conference of Chris-
tians and Jews, the Holocaust
Memorial Center and the Jewish
Community Council.
Co-chairmen are Fr. Alex
Brunett, director of ecumenical
affairs for the archdiocese of De-
troit; Rev. Lyons, director of the
Ecumenical Institute for
Jewish-Christian Studies; and
Marjorie Saulson, chairman of
interreligious affairs of the De-
troit Chapter, American Jewish
Committee.
