Letty Cottin Pogrebin, a 1971
founding editor of Ms. magazine,
noted author and lecturer, will be
the featured speaker at "Women's
World 1985" March 27, beginning
at 9:30 a.m., at Cong. Shaarey
Zedek.
Mrs. Pogrebin will speak on
"Jewish Survival — A Woman's
Issue." Among the books she has
written are: Family Politics,
Growing Up Free and How to
Make It In A Man's World. She is a
graduate of Brandeis University.
As a free-lance writer, Mrs.
Pogrebin has been published in
the New York Times, Ms. maga-
zine, Seventeen, Good Housekeep-
ing, Sport, T.V. Guide and Ladies
Home Journal "The Working
Woman" column (1971-1981). She
has been a contributor to several
anthologies, including Sexism
and Youth, Woman In the Year
2000 and The Gifted Child, The
Family and the Community.
Mrs. Pogrebin lectures nation-
wide on the changing roles of men
and women in employment, fam-
ily life, Judaism and feminism.
Her many awards and honors in-
clude the Poynter Fellow in jour-
nalism Yale University, 1982,
Who's Who in America, Who's
Who in American Jewry, Distin-
guished Achievement Award

Chairman of Woman's World
1985 is Sandra Schwartz, vice
president of fund raising. Diane
Scholnick is sisterhood president.
