New York (JTA) — The Ameri-
can premiere of the new film For
Those I Love, starring Michael
York as a Jewish Holocaust sur-
vivor, will be a gala benefit on be-
half of mentally handicapped
children and adults in Israel, it
was announced last week. The
event is sponsored by Friends of
AKIM-USA and the B'nai Zion
Foundation. AKIM is the associa-
tion for the habilitation of the
mentally handicapped in Israel.
The premiere will be at the
Ziegfield Theater in Manhattan
on April 16. Michele Bokobza, na-
tional director of AKIM-USA,
said the proceeds of the evening
are expected to be around
$250,000. Patron will be Ambas-
sador Naphtali Lavie, consul gen-
eral of Israel in New York, with
Governor Mario Cuomo serving
as honorary chairman.

The I. Irving Feldman Galleries
in West Bloomfield will open a
show of works by American ar-
tists April 4, including the works
of James Rosenquist, Alex Katz,
Andy Warhol and Larry Rivers.
The show will run through April
30.
Gallery hours are Monday and
Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and
Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. For
