Elena Tatulian, a leading
pianist in Moscow, will perform at
the Oak Park Library at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday.
The concert will be the first of
our programs of classical music
presented at no charge to the pub-
lic through a grant received from
the Michigan Council for the Arts.
Each is sponsored by the city's
arts and cultural commission.
Ms. Tatulian, who is now a resi-
dent of New York, received her
doctorate from the Moscow Con-
servatory in 1972. She became a
faculty member at the conservat-
ory and concertized extensively in
the Soviet Union and throughout
Europe. She appeared with the
Moscow State Philharmonic, the
Moscow Symphony Orchestra, the
Moscow Radio-Television Sym-
phony and others.
She won first prize in the 1982
Keyboard Artists International
Competition in Grand Rapids.
