The Social Awareness Commit-
tee of the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion Women's Division will hold
the first of its "First Monday
Group" breakfast meetings 8:30
a.m. Monday at Jacques restau-
rant.
The series of three Monday
forums will focus on "Trouble
Spots," with the first spotlighting
Central America.
Rudy Simons, political activist
and three-time visitor to Central
America, will be Monday's
speaker. He is an active member
of MICAH, the Michigan Inter-
faith Committee on Central
American Human Rights.
Future topics will be Ethiopia
and South Africa. Carolyn Green-
berg is chairman of the Social
Awareness Committee. Helen
Shevin and Pam Opperer are the
associate chairmen.

"Israel: Holy Land of Christians
and Jews" will be the topic of the
10th annual joint program of the
League of Catholic Women and
the League of Jewish Women's
Organizations to be held at 1:30
p.m. Thursday at Duns Scotus
Seminary, 20000 W. Nine Mile,
Southfield.
Rabbi Norman Roman, associ-
ate rabbi of Temple Beth El, and
Fr. Charles Faso of the Catholic
Theological Seminary will be the
guest speakers.
Refreshments will be served.
The public is invited at a nominal
