Teacher Sabbath Observed

Teacher Recognition Sabbath
will be observed at Temple Israel
at 8 p.m. today.
Children of the school will par-
ticipate in a special presentation
honoring their teachers entitled
"A Singing School Is a Happy
School."
Participation will be by all stu-
dents with special songs led by the
third, fourth, fifth and sixth
grades, together with the Junior
Choir.
The following teachers will join
in leading the congregation in
worship:

Bryna Leib, Madelene Adelson,
Marilyn Borkin, Annie Weiss,
Sandra Gantz, Susan Bornstein,
Ida Nathan, Barbara Hyman,

education, and Marvin Hoffman,
chairman of the religious school
committee, will share in the pre-
sentation of awards to the follow-
ing teachers, based on years of
service:
Five-years, Cheryl Kane,
Bryna Leib, Cheri Litberg, Elaine
Melder, Suzanne Rubin and Doris
Winfrey; Ten years: Debra Stybel;
15 years: Elaine Greenberg; 20
years: Emily Arnold, Robert
Feldman, Sandra Gantz and
Annie Weiss; 25 years: Marilyn
Borkin, Burton Chassin and Ida
Nathan; and 30 years: Helen Gil-
bert.
Honorable mention also will be
