Rabbi Allan Blustein

Sinai Hospital of Detroit will
sponsor a day-long seminar on
"Ministry to Hospital Patients
and Their Families" for all rabbis
of the greater Detroit area on
Thursday at 10 a.m. in the hospi-
tal's Zuckerman Auditorium.
The featured speakers will be
Rabbi Allan Blustein, director of
the pastoral care department at
Sinai, who will speak on "The
Hospital Call — A Pastoral Visit;"
Fr. Russell Kohler, who will share
his thoughts on "Hospital Minis-
try for Our Times — Keeping in
Touch;" and Rev. Canon Charles
McMahon, who will talk on
"Ministry to the Chronically Ill —
Settling in for the Long Haul."
Rabbi Blustein is a former army
chaplain who recently received
his doctorate in pastoral counsel-
ing from the Hebrew Theological
College in Skokie, Ill. Fr. Kohler
is currently a member of the In-
ternational Pediatric Hospice
Foundation. Rev. McMahon is the
canon minister of the Cathedral
Church of St. Paul and an in-
structor -in pastoral care at the
Robert A. Whitaker School of
Theology, Detroit.
The seminar will include a
luncheon and open forum speaker
discussion.

Sinai Promotes
Three To Posts

Sinai Hospital of Detroit has
announced the promotion of Eric
Feder, Mary Nash and Carol wil-
son from assistant administrators
to associate administrators.
Feder is responsible for the
management operations of 11
hospital departments, including
obstetrics-gynecology, psychia-
try, rehabilitation medicine,
radiology and radiation therapy.
Feder joined Sinai's staff in
1982.
Nash is responsible for the hos-
pital's five clinical nursing de-
partments including rehabilita-
tion, perinatal, medical, critical
care and surgery, as well as the
infection control department and
the nutritional support team.
Nash joined Sinai's staffin 1980
as the director of nursing practice.
Wilson is responsible for eight
departments including surgery,
cardovascular-thoracic surgery,
anesthesiology, pharmacy, and
respiratory therapy services.
Wilson joined Sinai's staff in
1983.
