HMC to Host Dr. Wyman

University of Massachusetts, as
well as professor of Judaic studies.
His book examines the response of
the American people and gov-
ernment to the Nazi extermina-
tion of the Jews.
Prof. Wyman's address Feb. 24
is the first of a series of educa-
tional programs arranged by the
HMC dealing with the role of the
Western world's religious, politi-
cal, and national leadership
toward the tragedies of the
Holocaust.
In March, the Holocaust Memo-
rial Center will present a
documentary film Who Shall Live,
Who Shall Die. Several weeks
later there will be a public sym-
posium.

The Holocaust Memorial Cen-
ter will host a lecture by David
Wyman, author of The Abandon-
ment of the Jews, 3:30 p.m. Feb. 24
at Cong. Shaarey Zedek. The lec-
ture is free.
Last week, Wyman appeard on
the Nightline television program
with Ted Koppel. As a Christian,
he spoke of the blatant neglect of
the Christian clergy in this coun-
try towards Jewish refugees dur-
ing World War II.
Dr. Wyman is professor of his-
tory and Holocaust studies at the

During the week of Feb. 17, the
Jewish National Fund will pro-
mote Green Sunday, a nationwide
phone-a-thon which will raise
funds for new trees for Israel's for-
ests.
JNF volunteers will call on
Jewish families in the community
to plant at least one tree in Israel
for each family member.
Volunteers are needed to make
calls during the phone-a-thon. To
